Mind, Body, and Wallet® 2024
American workers’ overall well-being is dramatically lower than in past years. Contributing to this decline is not only the current state of the economy, but the lack of control workers feel as a result. This sense of uncertainty can be magnified during pivotal life moments — such as having a child, confronting a serious health diagnosis, becoming a caregiver, experiencing grief and loss, and retiring — when individuals must adapt to a new set of circumstances. Even positive life events can pose challenges to physical, mental, and financial wellness.
Unrest and uncertainty push overall well-being to near-record lows among US adults.
Guardian’s 13th Annual Workplace Benefits Study report, Mind, Body, and Wallet® 2024, examines overall trends around US adults' well-being and how it has changed, especially for segments of the workforce with unique needs including parents, caregivers, younger workers, those approaching retirement, and those living with a cancer diagnosis.
